Rock solid in sound absorption

What do concrete and sound absorption have in common? The answer is: Soundblox! Soundblox combines the positive properties of concrete, such as structural stability, robustness and weather resistance, with excellent sound absorption in every indoor and outdoor application. With Soundblox, important aspects such as acoustics (both sound absorption and sound insulation) and fire resistance can be combined in one structural wall. Unfortunately, concrete has one disadvantage, namely cement, which is responsible for 10% of global CO2 emissions. Imagine if Soundblox could be produced without cement. Impossible? Not with Soundblox Carbstone! Soundblox Carbstone now absorbs sound and CO2.

Soundblox fully Circular, Cement-free and CO2 negative

Soundblox can now be produced using a revolutionary production method, namely the Carbstone carbonatation method in which CO2 is specially extracted from the air and used in production. As a result, these blocks absorb not only sound but also CO2, thus intrinsically contributing to a better world. Moreover, after installation (in the open air) they continue to absorb CO2, hardening even further and increasing their bearing capacity even further. The production process also makes maximum use of available solar energy to further reduce the ecological footprint of the production process.

Have the advantages but not the disadvantages of concrete

These new Soundblox Carbstone have the same appearance as traditional concrete blocks, with the same characteristic and familiar Helmholtz resonators, designed to absorb sound and reduce reverberation. Soundblox Carbstone thus retains sound absorbing and insulating properties and has the same density, robustness and fire resistance as traditional Soundblox, made of concrete. With this material, Soundblox acoustic blocks but also regular building blocks can be produced, which have the advantages of concrete but no longer the ecological disadvantages.

Soundblox with 100% natural moss application

For an exclusive and durable look, a wall with Soundblox can also be covered with 100% natural and maintenance-free moss. This decorative moss is a real eye catcher and forms a very special synergy with the sound-absorbing acoustic blocks, further increasing the sound absorption performance.
